State public pension funds in the USA control more than $4 trillion in assets, and virtually all pension funds invest in fossil fuel companies.

State pension fund divestment campaigns are active in several states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.


University Endowments

University campaigns have successfully divested trillions of dollars from the fossil fuel industry: recent victories including the University of California system and Georgetown University.
